Rewind back three years ago, I suffered a serious case of acne. It was normal in highschool to get acne which almost masked the negative experience, but as a twenty something year old it’s a shitty situation. After going through a year of treatment and patience, I bounced back! Since then my skin has been great (until a recent breakout).
FYI, this post isn’t going to delve into my recovery process, but let me know if this is something of interest and I’ll work up the courage to share pictures and my story.
So what’s the post about? Going back to my roots! My skin was happy, balanced and hydrated while using two staple products from the brand Alpha-H. The Balancing Cleanser and Essential Hydration Cream. After having my skin under control for some time I began to trial new products until said breakout. I had quite a few shortlisted products that I knew would help, but eventually turned to my go-to Alpha-H goodies.
You may be thinking from the product names how they even treat unhappy skin. As a non trained beauty therapist, my philosophy has alway been not to strip and or disturb the skin too intensely with home care. Leave that for the salon and stick balancing and hydrating skincare with a few targeted products.
I love this milk cleanser because it’s hydrating without feeling like it’s clogging your pores and doesn’t feel stripping even after a double cleanse. It removes makeup with the exception of waterproof mascara or eyeliner and has added benefits like vitamin E and aloe vera. A solid all rounder cleanser.
For the people out there stuck in air con all day, this cream will heal all! It really does nourish and repair skin. For me, I noticed my skin brighter and radiant especially with dryness around my nose. It also has some fancy ingredients like Evening Primrose Oil, Ylang Ylang, Peppermint minerals and essential fatty acids. It feels luxurious to apply too.
Overall I love that these products are simple yet concentrated and effective. They keep my skin inline and what’s not to love about that! The only con would be that they’re not travel friendly purely due the sizing a shape. Let me know in the comments below if you’re an Alpha-H fan or have used their products before.
