Green Beauty Brands You Need To Know

green beauty, digy hu, blogger, skincare, makeup, haircare, organic, vegan, cruelty freeWith the rise in health foods and fitness, there has been a shift in attitude towards what would have been called “hippie products” to green beauty. It’s definitely a fad term, but it does capture sought after products that lie categories in like cruelty free, organic or vegan. I don’t necessarily base my shopping habits around this criteria, but do like to acknowledge the benefits and also how luxe green beauty products can be.

Keep reading to find out my tried and tested green beauty brands and products!

Although this may be alarm bells for some, coconut oil is known for its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and properties, perfect for keeping skin clear and healthy. My favourites are the Lip2Cheek in Promise and the “Un” Cover-Up (yes it actually conceals!).

Josie Maran Cosmetics is also similar with 100% pure organic argan oil infused products. Although products for the base haven’t been successful for me, I love using the Argan Enlightenment Illuminiser and Argan Colour Stick in Coral (unfortunately no longer available at Mecca).

Both makeup brands use recyclable packaging and are cruelty free.

Mukti Organics is an Australian, organic and plant based brand. I’ve tried quite a few Mukti Organics products and found the 2-in-1 Resurfacing Exfoliant to be the winner. As the name suggests is resurfaces and exfoliates the skin with bioactive native Australian alpha hydroxy fruit acids (AHA’s). I love the jojoba floraspheres which feel like you’re giving yourself a gentle micro dermabrasion.

The featured Tata Harper moisturiser, May Lindstrom honey mud cleanser and Trilogy rosehip oil have been previously blogged about which you can read here.

I recently moved from Kérastase after seeing amazing results. Healthy shiny hair. The vegan hair care products do not contain SLS or parabens; have not been tested on animals and are PETA-Certified. Still not sold? How about that packaging!
