Makeup I Pack For a Weekend Away

what makeup to pack for a weekend

I absolutely hate overpacking and always make sure I give myself enough time to pack smart. This post goes through what makeup I packed for a weekend away in the city.

First thing to note is that the only “big” event on was a dinner, which only really affected what foundation I chose. So what did I pack?

For the base…

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 – my holy grail primer
NARS Charlotte Gainsbourg Collection Hydrating Glow Tint – evens my skin and keeps it real
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – conceals and perfects anything the tint couldn’t
Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Palette – set, highlight and bronze all in one
Mecca Cosmetica Enlightened Illuminating Balm – for that extra pop of highlight
RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Promise – for a youthful and dewy blush thats doubles and lipstick

For the eyes…

Eyeko My and My Shadow in Taupe – to add extra depth to the eyes, day or night
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – because winged eyeliner changes any makeup game
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – enough said

In my handbag…

Hourglass Oxygen Mineral Powder (discontinued) – for on the go touch ups
Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Palais Royal – a rich wine colour for a bold lip or stain

what makeup to pack for a weekendTo be honest, I wouldn’t change much for a beach getaway other than a brighter lipstick choice and maybe swap to a bronze shadow stick instead of taupe. So there you have it, what I pack for a weekend in the city! Hope this gave you some tips on what to pack and how to make the most out of little as possible.

    • I learnt my lesson when my carry on was randomly selected to be weighed. My partner wasn’t happy to be stuffing his pockets 😂

I’m all about packing light on holidays! I used to take samples along but you never know if a product is going to work for you or not, too risky!

  • Some great picks here! I love the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette, it is so beautiful and creates the most flawless and gorgeous glow!

  • I’m still dying to try the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer!

    • I haven’t used it for awhile then went back to it recently. I forgot how good it was!!

  • Lovely picks! I’m going on a week away trip and I’m still not sure what to pack! Face palettes are perfect for travelling though, and I love shadow sticks for their practicality!

    • Couldn’t agree more! Especially shadow sticks. I couldn’t really do with a couple more… haha

  • I loved reading this. A person’a travel makeup bag is always the best indication of their HG picks. I’ll have to check out that Palais Royal lipstick because I am really into the vampy wine shades right now. Great post 🙂
