Welcome to part two of the stripe series on the blog!
Stripes are one of the most popular prints and found across multiple fashion pieces. In part one we talked about all things skirts – different styles, colours and looks you can create. As you’ve probably noticed, part two will be covering the ever so chic striped blazer.
A blazer itself is without a doubt an absolute wardrobe staple. It’s an item that will take you round the clock and polish off any look, whether it be casual or a night out.
Striped blazers take things up a notch without compromising the “staple” aspect of a blazer. Depending on your personal preference you could either go more subtle with pinstripes, or emphasize the design with thicker stripes.
You want to be careful not to look too suited and find a dark coloured striped blazer with a bit of edge. Think sleeve details or belted finishes. I’ve been eying of this Country Road one which would look stunning against some blush tones or better yet, a striped tee!
Lighter based blazers call to warmer months when you need the layer but not the deep winter colours. Featured in this look is a sale item from Zara that I’ve kept casual with jeans and sneakers. I’d would love to wear this blazer with a slip dress and pointed slides for a dressier look.
