The warmer weekends in Sydney have me reaching for transeasonal outfits as we approach spring. Usually I post “outfit outfits” which I go out to shoot with my partner, head back home and start the blog process. For this post I wanted to shoot what I wore on the weekend and in the moment.
This outfit has no on-trend aspect to it, just some of my staples thrown together that are comfortable and versatile. Perfect for the weekend. There are some details to highlight that can make your weekend ensemble into a chic outfit.
Not so basic jeans
I’ve worn these jeans on the blog a few times and for a good reason. Their a classic straight cut leg but with seam line detailing and a raw hem finish. I guess this is a trend item, but not to the extent that you wouldn’t be able to wear it in couple years time. Find yourself a pair of jeans with a twist and they will never fail you.
Straight neckline top
A simple way to change up the look of tank top is going for a straight neckline. It has feminine edgy look to it and will bring out your inner Bella Hadid. It’s flattering on most body types and creates a nice silhouette. I’m keen to find a straight neck slip dress, any suggestions?
99.99% of my outfit shots are in my beloved Ray Bans. The lesson here is to always rock your favourite accessories that you feel confident in. The shoe department calls for loafers, strap slides or heeled mules. From experience, these can completely change your outfit to level fashionista. I’ve learned to love them all! Lastly, bags are another accessory they can change your outfit game. Stick to neutrals or go for a pop of colour. Chances are both would work with a simple weekend outfit. How cute is this one from Colette!
As you can see, not your typical winter’s day outfit but hey, let’s embrace the warm weather when we can!
