Work-Ready Outfit Inspiration

Whatever your schedule may be, getting out of the door in the morning can get to the best of us. When we’re time poor it’s so much easier to reach for that go-to work outfit. With a little inspiration, I challenge you to mix things up a bit.

If you’re like me, work outfits in the office don’t mean head to toe corporate. Of course there is nothing wrong with taking on that style, but the key across any outfit is balance. I personally like to add a hint of casual into each work outfit to bring a fresh trendy look. If I do find myself putting together an outfit that leans to the corporate side, I tie in flowy and drapey items to create silhouettes.

The easiest way to achieve a casual meets trendy work outfit is to start with your basics; denim, tees and sneakers. If there’s anything I learned from putting these looks together, its that your wardrobe can offer so much more than you think!

Outfit One

Outfit Two

I hope these two looks gave you some inspiration for your next work outfit. Mimic the outfits using what’s in your wardrobe or take elements you like and apply it to your own look.

Let me know in the comments which was your favourite outfit!

  • When I worked in an office where there was some form of a dress code (luckily I don’t at the moment) I always found it SO HARD to figure out what to wear that was appropriate but that still made me feel like myself. I’m not in any way into corporate dressing (blazers of any kind are not my thing) but about 99% of style content out there doesn’t factor in what people can wear to work. Especially because pretty much all style bloggers these days work for themselves, so they don’t have to worry about a dress code which unfortunately isn’t realistic for the average person who works in an office. Anyway, I’m glad you focused on work clothing here because I definitely think it’s a gap in the blogging world that never seems to get covered!
